Born in the same integration logic before the creation of the group, Poulina Group Holding has started the production of the metal material for the needs of the farming sector. Today the group is active in different industrial domains, including metal, wood, and house appliances. This sector includes also the company leaders in their domain such as GAN, PAF, and MBG.
The company PAF has been making welded metal tubes for the past twenty-five years. PAF is the Tunisian leader with a production of 45 000 tons of tubes per year with different sections and materials. In fact, it produces a large product line of tubes in the round, square, rectangular, and other special shapes. PAF is cerified ISO 9002 since 1995. This activity is present on an international scale with Africaine, a metal producer in Libya.
To maintain the quality of production, PAF chooses raw materials according to applied world standards. All of the production units are certified ISO and the group has a partnership with MITTAL ACIER.
PAF has 3 production sites:
A site in Radés with a production capacity of 45 000 tons per year
A site in EL FAHS with a production capacity of 5 000 tons per year
A site in Borj Cedria with a production capacity of 2 000 tons per year.
The company GAN, number one company in the industrial sector, totals up to 4 different trades, such as house appliances, office furniture, MDF (Medium density fiber) and poultry equipment. Leader in its trades, it holds 30% of the refrigerator market with its brand, Mont Blanc.
GAN supplies the principal Tunisian industrial wood producers. It disposes of a sales area in Sfax.
For this activity, the group has 3 factories :
MDF in Grombalia has a production capacity of 2500 m².
A factory of Polystyrene in NAASEN with a production capacity of 45 Tons per month.
A wood factory in BIR EL KASAA for which the production for stratified wood reaches 34 000m2 and for multi-use wood 45 tons per month.
Mont Blanc GAN also makes and sells two product lines under the brand name of Mont Blanc:
House appliances: refrigerators, ovens, and washing machines.
Industrial equipment: freezers, mini bars, refrigerators.
GAN principally imports:
Compressors for many countries, but principally Brazil.
Plastic reinforced with metal mostly from Europe.
GAN disposes of a factory in BEN AROUS with a production capacity of 320 units/day (100 000 units per year).
Besides the activities listed above, Poulina Group Holding has signed a strategic alliance with Oxymetal France. This alliance has led to the creation of a new common entity. The company METAL GAN specializes in the metal industry in which the Tunisian group holds 49% of the capital.
METAL GAN has two subdivisions:
Aviculture equipment: this division produces and sells a large product line for breeding.
Office equipment: this division produces and sells office furniture under the brand name of "Macintosh".
In 1995, through a partnership with the Italian MOSSINI SPA, the group created the company MBG, specialized in the production of gas containers. The company is also present in the runner market and galvanization market.
MBG is composed of three divisions:
Fairing. Its production site is located in Borj Cedria. Its production capacity is around 1000 tons per month and it surface area is in the 12 000 m2 (of which 6 000 m2 are covered)
The conception and production of bottles. The surface area of the site is 15 000 m2, of which 6 000 m2 are covered with a production capacity of 1 million units.
Galvanization. The production site is located 20 km from Tunis. Its production capacity is around 1500 tons per month.
The main raw materials of MBG are metal and zinc, which are imported from European countries.
The group has reproduced the model in Algeria, with the company Idéal Industrie de l'Est, which produces essentially gas bottles, and with the company Esméralda.
