Allocation of the price of the literary competition of Poulina for year 2009
For year 2009, which coincides with the celebration of " Kairouan, Capitale de la Culture Islamique ", and in application of the decision of Mister President of the Republic Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, for that purpose, Poulina Group Holding wanted to mark this event by proposing to the participating authors in its annual literary competition, to realize works inspired by the story of this city, cradle of the Arabic and Islamic civilization in the Maghreb.

Tunisia - Poulina Group Holding throws a SICAR
Poulina Group Holding has just thrown an investment company to venture capital in the name of Tunisia Development. Sicar S.A. Endowed with a three million dinar capital, the board of directors of the new entity consists of representatives of PGH, the Finance company of development, Amen Bank, Biat and the UBCI. The society will be managed by Karim Ammar, also DG (CEO, HEAD OFFICE, GENERAL MANAGEMENT of PGH, with Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed as chaiman of the board.


	> 10-12-2009 The Poultry Medal of Merit awarded to Mr. Abdelwahab Ben Ayed. The Tunisian Scientific Society of Veterinary Medicine granted the Poultry Medal of Merit to Mr. Abdelwahab Ben Ayed chairman and managing director of the Poulina Group Holding on the occasion of the first national poultry day held on 1 December 2009 at Karthago Palace in Gammarth.

Poulina group holding celebrates the 7th November change 22nd anniversary
Following the brilliant re-election of President Zine Al Abidine Ben Ali and on the occasion of the 7th November 1987 change’s 22nd anniversary, Poulina Group Holding celebrates the ceremony of the “companions of change”. This ceremony will take place on Saturday 7 November 2009 at 11 am in La Medina Mediterranea in Yasmine Hammamet. This event will gather more than 4000 persons. Mr. Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed will be the chief speaker during this event.

Carthago Ceramic Open Days
Carthago Ceramic organizes from 9 to 15 November the open days event at the new commercial centre Tanit, the first centre to be dedicated to furnishing, decoration and design (neighboring Carrefour). On the occasion of this event a presentation of the new series of ceramic tiles, produced in Carthago Ceramic’s new stone house factory, will be proposed as well as a cellular concrete demonstration every day from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The JADIDA Vegetable oils
The Med Oil Company, subsidiary of the Poulina Group Holding, initially specialized in the production of table margarine, professional margarine and hydrogenated vegetable fats, undertakes the new challenge of becoming a reference in the production of corn, soy beans, sunflower and frying oils. These new oils will be marketed under the brand JADIDA, historical brand of Med Oil daily accompanying millions of Tunisians for several years. Med Oil will rely first on a high-performance and up to date production machines housed in a newly founded modern factory in Bir Mcherga and second on a careful selection of its raw material.

Poulina Group Holding (PGH) was chosen by the Africa Investor Index as one of three companies to have realized the most important listings on the stock market in 2008. On this occasion Mr. Karim Ammar travelled to New York to represent the group, chaired by Mr. Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed, in the Africa Investor Index Awards 2009 held on Monday 21 September 2009 at the New York Stock Exchange (Wall Street).

Poulina opening two production sites, one for bricks and another for concrete in Gafsa.
Poulina is going to realize its brick production plant and its production plant of concrete in Gafsa, in line with the national effort to improve the economic situation of the district. The investment for those two units adds up to close to 100 million dinars. The group managed by Mr. Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed is discussing two other projects with the local authorities.
